Okay lol I'm surprised to see that there isn't a thread on this already. Well here goes.
This is a story of a boy named Keima Katsuragi, he is a second year high school student, and and AVID dating sim player. So much so in fact that ALL OVER the internet he is knows as 'The God of Conquest' for his legendary skills to conquer any 2D girl. However his school life is quite different, he is smart and not bad looking, but he's considered an otaku and he has a sense of superiority that people around him don't seem to be fond of. Anyway, one day, while playing a game, he receives and e-mail offering a 'contract' to capture the hearts of girls. Thinking that this was a challenge, he graciously accepted, only to find out he had just made a contract with a demon named Elsea de Lute Irma. Now he has to capture beings known as loose souls, which reside in the emptiness in girl's hearts. The only method of forcing the souls out is by capturing the girl's heart/making them fall in love. At first Keima is outraged and immediately declines, but as he soon finds out, once a contract with a demon has been made, theres only one way out. So in order to avoid being beheaded, he begins his escapades to use his 'God of Conquest' skills to capture the hearts of 3D girls.
Sorry, long explanation... I couldn't sum it any more though :) ANYWAY, this series is WONDERFUL. It has a very unique plot line, and very lovable characters. I intensely enjoyed this show, and am currently watching season 2! Which is currently airing with 6 episodes out already. I highly recommend this series!!! Let me know what ya think! ;D

usually these 'girl of the week' shows have rather plain and boring main protagonists who are interchangeable with their GOTW protagonist brothers, but not this guy. i found myself enjoying his moments on screen a lot more then i did the girls. it is a refreshing change that hopefully catches on

Awesome series, and his "moments" where he explains things like video games are hilarious. So is is singing xD its so terrible its funny.

When I first read about the first series last year, I was really put off. "Otaku boy who is only interested in 2D girls and dating sims having to win the hearts of various girls". Didn't really tickle my fancy.
But I am so glad one of my friends forced me to watch the first episode. I have to agree with

omg I love this series like so hard. You have all these cliche girls in it but the most uncliche like main character ever and I really think that's what makes the show work. However instead of the girls being like those annoying cliches that drives everybody crazy they make them so lovable and cute and you really end up sympathizing with each girl in the end! I also like love Eli like so much she is just too adorable for words FIRE TRUCKS FTW. I really enjoyed each story but if I had to pick my favorite one it would have to be Chihiro's story it was just really sweet :)

Although I would agree that it is indeed a masterpiece, I don't think it should continue to a 4th season, at the least maybe alternate endings like how Clannad did. Its a nice ending despite it being a sad and bad one. Not many animes can lead to that bad route and still have it's audience some-what satisfied. It's a great ending at the least in my opinion, and I would love to see an alternate ending where he does the opposite at that one flagged event a little near the end.
