The story revolves around a highschool boy named Niwa Makoto. He's a country boy, but due to his parent's business matters, he just recently moved into the city to live with his aunt. Looking forward to a life where he could live as a rebellious and free teenager, he soon meets his 'cousin' named Touwa Erio. She seems normal enough, except for the fact she has a futon mattress tied around her upper body and she claims to be an alien. Thus beginning Niwa Makoto's strange new life as a city boy.

Alright, so. This show is very entertaining! I actually feel like I've been having fun watching it. Now this show's humor is a tad random. For those of you who have watched Bakemonogatari, it has that sort of feel about it. The characters are very unique, especially Erio, and Niwa's personality reminds me of a weird combination of Mikado Ryugamine, Kida Masaomi, and Koyomi Araragi (from Bakemonogatari). So far the story is interesting and has kept me attatched to the show, and it looks like it'll stay that way.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko is a 12 episode series that is currently airing. As of May, 20th there are currently 6 episodes out, but i do recommend this series. Give it a shot if your interested!

>>2 It is indeed pretty awesome :D

Oh it seems i forgot to mention, that this is another anime produced by Shaft (Bakemonogatari, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei) So that should help explain the atmosphere of this show ^_^ enjoy.

Definitely one of the better shows this season - But SHAFT has a reputation for making some of the best. The cast of characters is quite diverse, and by diverse I mean... very diverse.

I'm looking at you, cosplay-tan.

However the setting itself is solid - I think his youth-points are pretty humorous, but between Erio reminding me vaguely of some character I can't quite recall and the lovely alien making the series heartwarming... Well, it's a pleasure to watch each new episode.

Can I just comment, Mael, that you're turning out to be the Xion_Kytori of the anime board? Very informative posts about anime that I probably wouldn't have been arsed to look into otherwise.

One day I will watch all of these, but damnit it takes a long time! (I have a list!! ;`n';)

One of the few shows I'm keeping up with this season until I get that external hard drive.
I tend to quite like SHAFT shows, and this one isn't any different.
So far it's present; I'm just waiting and hoping it goes from present to great.
I think some story development would to that.
And I haven't read the source material, so I wouldn't know.

Really? The places I talk about anime on the internet, SHAFT has a reputation for making powerpoint slideshows.

>>7 Really? Everything I've actually watched from SHAFT is amazing :/ Maybe the reputation comes from elsewhere... Well as long as they continue to make good shows like this then idc what else they make lol..
