I have to stop watching animes that aren't complete or I'm going to go insane. WELL its been a while so heres a new show for everyone.
It's been a while since I've watched a pure drama/slice of life anime and found it worth wile. But this show is beyond that... Normally even in the ones that find interesting i can't exactly connect emotionally with the characters. This show is different.
A group of childhood friends drifts apart after one of them, Meiko "Menma" Honma, dies in an accident. Years later, the leader of the group, Jinta Yadomi, has become withdrawn and lives as a recluse. An older Meiko appears to him, and says that she must have a wish granted, though it seems she has forgotten what her wish was. So Jinta is left with this crazy situation where he has to reunite with the friends he has drifted away from.

I've only seen about half of it, so there's probably people that know more than me and can talk, but so far even though it's got a lot of things going for it I was a little underwhelmed.
It's fresh and sweet, but I think it had the potential to do something else other than what it's doing which is fluff and a lot of crying. Well, that's how I feel at least.

I finished it a few days ago, and I couldn't help but cry. It really can't be helped when everyone on the show is a blubbering mess and you're trying not to.
Anyways, I liked it, and I'd say it's something good to watch if you have the time.

Yay, Ano Hana.
Right, so I finally got around to watching this series about two weeks ago. I have to say, I really liked this. As people have said, it's kind of bittersweet, and I admit the ending has tear-bringing potential. It sure was something else.. Refreshing? Yeah, Refreshing is a good word for it. The relationships between the characters are pretty realistic, and it had this really nice sort of feel to it while I was watching. In any case, if you're looking for a good slice-of-life, or something kind of sad to watch, I'd definitely recommend this.

I love Ano Hana!! Even though i only watched ep. 1 & 11 i loved it. It was soooo Sad & dramatic that i couldnt help but tear up. To all those who r reading this i recomend u watch this... u will enjoy it ( i hope)

It was really sad, even when it didn't mean to be D:
But after I watched it (and cried buckets!) I felt that maybe it had the potential to do more. I also kind of wish they developed Menma a bit more, she seemed to stay the same when everyone else had changed. ...Though it makes a bit of sense in context---NO SPOILERS >:U

the thing i rlly liked about this anime is that i am in the same generation as the charecters. they played pokemon as little kids, i did too. they have a lot of references to manga or games that i can understand. i liked the fact i could relate

I mean I cry/tear up with almost everything I see, I cry like a little bitch for just anime scenes that aren't even supposed to be emotional. Ofcourse with things like Clannad, or the Asian drama/movie Koizora I cry for 3 hours straight. So I though hell yeah I'm gonna cry 3 liters with Ano hana.
BUT
I didn't cry. At all. Maybe just a little tear up but I don't know. The story was a little... weird? Maybe I just expected to the end to be a little bit more... sad? 'Cause the ending was like happy right? Or maybe it wasn't but Idunno it was quite vague.
These are the same animators/producers of Toradora right? I also didn't cry with that anime at all. Guess it's nothing for me

just finished it today, and man so EPIC!
has a lot of tear jerking moments and have emotional soundtracts that fits the scenes (even i can't i understand the lyrics, i somehow got carried away by the tune and instruments)

This anime is almost too feelsy. No joke, every episode is a feels trip. I hope to god Name hasn't seen this because Menma is pretty much the Alpha loli. Damn this anime is good though; those anime with 11 episodes packed full of great plot are always my favourite.
