I don't really like mechs either, but I love Star-Driver, It's a great anime and I sometimes forget it's a Mech.

As for the mecha genre in general.. I don't really make assumptions either way.
They can be really badass, or shitty. I dunno.

Wat u dun understand? well first off Sugata became Emperor in order to seal Samekh. Takuto's father, the bad guy, wanted Samekh's power in order to go back to time. He probably regreted letting go his two lovers, one is Takuto's mother the other is the fish girl. well its oni my guess tat is. then at the end when Sugata wanted to seal Samekh, Takuto destroyed the South Maiden' seal to release Samekh frm Zero Time. Takuto probably wanted to save Sugata by destroying Samekh which he did. The end. Well I wanted an epilouge of wat happened after. Maybe there's some OVA later

Takuto breaks Wako's seal to release Samekh, so that he can defeat it and save Sugata, rather than Sugata sealing himself away with Samekh forever. Then they're floating in space.
It's a pretty open ending, but it's not that confusing.

I'd assume something happy like, they return back down to earth in Tauburn, and live happily ever after.

People question through out the entire series who Wako is going to pick, just for you to find out Takuto picked Sugata.

idk, it read like a threesome ending to me, with Wako talking about being in love with both of them, and she did communicate with Takuto with just a look to let him know it was okay for her seal to be broken for him to go save Sugata. Seems like my OT3 came through, I would have been irritated if it was one or the other. Especially with both boys worrying, hey, if you choose the other one, can I still come over? Can't we be like this forever? It wasn't the best ending, too many threads were left hanging, but from a relationship standpoint? Best end.

Okay show. Nothing amazed me about it.
Though the part where Takuto walks in on Keito singing. Their faces....just made me laugh so hard.

This anime... It's a wonder...

FYI, I watched with whole thing without knowing what 'libido' was. Only after I watched the last episode I Googled it, and wondered "What the hell did I just watch?"
Then I realised the whole series was practically just one big innuendo.

I face palmed at the thought that it took me the whole series to figure it out.

Innuendos aside, I did like the series. It made me laugh a lot, I love the maidens' songs, and it was enjoyable to watch. Although, I didn't like the battles nearly as much. I thought they were way too repetitive, and so that was a bit of a let down. I even got tired of that <i>fabulous</i> transformation scene after the 10th time. You heard me. COME AT ME BRO.

I just got around to watching a lot of it... And i gotta say, The mech battles remind me of Gurren Lagann.. As do some of the character designs.
I made myself laugh while watching this, because with all that 'out in the open' romance, I immediately though, "My God, this island is full of whores!" Then I realized, "Wait, This is closer to how people act in real life than any other anime I've seen.."
At that point, I realized society is full of sluts.

BUT BESIDES THAT, the main character is so flamboyant that it catches me off guard every time.. I'm only on like episode 6 lol, but damn, am I going to have to see that transformation scene every episode for 19 more episodes? Idk if I can handle that...
Also MC needs bigger shirts.

I think this anime is "Okay" it wasn't bad but it wasn't that awesome either. The final battle was fascinating and i really loved it but the whole anime was like this:
Main character appears....main character is fighting....main character wins and everything is back to normal.
