Has anyone played the umineko visual novel? I'm currently reading the manga (Episode 7: Requiem of the golden witch) and I realized that no one ever explained wheather Lion Ushiromiya is male or female. I have heard many theories but no one really knows the answer. Has the author said something about that or is it supposed to be a mystery? Which gender do you think is more likely?

It isn't said in the novel, but some theories think that Lion should be male. Natsuhi said in Episode 5 that she had a male baby.
Still, the most used theory says that Lions sexual organs are so damaged after his fall, that it doesn't make any difference now.

I say she is female!
Sure, Natsuhi said the baby was male, but she never checked, right? What if shee assumed it was male, because she thought Kinzo would only choose a male as his heir? That would be a wrong interpretation of natsuhi's.
The child from 19 years ago might have it's sexual organs damaged, I agree, but that does not apply to Lion, because she was accepted by Natsuhi and thus never fell from the cliff, thus nothing was damaged. So I think she is female... Any other opinions?
