So I finished this game a couple days ago. And decided, hey let's review it. So I will, but don't take my word for it, I'm pretty new to the visual/kinetic novel scene.
But anyways, the plot surrounds the adventure of the Great Demon King, Arawn and his band of wives and brother in law, and his old friend. He was awakened through a ritual by an old priest or something, Drwc. But, Drwc's plan to have the Demon king join him failed and Arawn killed his butt. Meanwhile, through this incident, Arawn gains a wife, her name's Rhiannon. And that's basically the prologue.
Now, this game works kinda like a kinetic novel. It doesn't give you choices like visual novels do. But, I guess to make up for that in my opinion, they added something of a battle system. Combat happens in real time. And the max people you get to control each battle is 8, which kinda sucks since you get to control 9 people, plus mercenaries.
And now onto the cons of playing this game. You may not like the fact that this game is linear, and thus labelled a kinetic novel by me. Also, you might have to grind in the game, by the way, I only played it once, I'll replay it when I have more time. And I grinded. I dunno, but I think the enemies are levelled based on your character's level, but Iunno, gotta see.

Sounds kind of interesting, but this is coming from someone who enjoys games from NIS, so grinding usually doesn't bother me at all. I could probably get into it once I pass this apathetic stage and finish Princess Waltz. Link?
