So i downloaded Tomoyo After: It's a wonderful life for the PC (the R18 version) and its all in japanese. I downloaded the file that says tomoyo after english patch and i don't know how to use it.. anyone help??

Have you tried running the english patch after installing the original game? Most english patches are designed to plug-in-play.
It's a patently silly question, but still. You haven't given us much information to go on towards helping you.

the english patch is on a zip file. should i extract it or not?? osrry, this is my first playing VN's

Yes, extract it from the Zip.
The patch should be an executable file (.exe), so after it's extracted just run it (with the game installed) and it should work fine.

no wonder i can't get the patch to work. It doesn't have an executable file inside!! I downloaded a new one and was able to make it run properly..
