I've been an active user of the Fediverse (in particular, of Mastodon) for a while now, but recently I joined a small group of people interested in making it something bigger. The idea of the Fediverse is to create an alternative type of social media that's free of corporate interests that usually plague mainstream social media sites like Instagram or Twitter (I'll continue to call it that because I don't respect Musk).

Our SIG (Special Interest Group) has the focus of spreading awareness of the Fediverse and other, let's say, counter-cultural movements in technology. We also want to help educate people on topics related to technology. Some day we hope to become our city's hackerspace, since it seems it stopped existing a while ago.

We have plans to collaborate with other groups related to information sharing, but for the time being, it seems like will need to wait until next year to start with the bigger projects.

So Im at school and I sometimes get bored in my classes, is there any way to get past the schools "blocked" sites?
Last year when it had barracuda or something like that I was able to type in "htpps://" and it would let me get on youtube and other sites like that, now since it doesnt work, does anyone know any quick ways to "hack" onto these blocked sites?

New Drrrchat Website in Development (18)

I've had a lot more spare time on my hands recently so I've decided to finally get back to trying to create the drrrchat clone that myself from 8 years ago couldn't. Now I'm here to show it off, get suggestions, and possibly pick up a team member who can create custom avatars for it.

The old drrr-like-chat repository is extremely outdated, and despite my attempts, I could not resurrect the code to work perfectly, so instead of trying to start from where I left off, I decided to start from scratch with my own custom code. So far, things are just bare bones, but I've also only been working on it over my few days off this week. I'll be dropping screenshots of what I have so far with explanations of features.

Like I said, I'm seeking suggestions for features. I am willing to add silly shit as well, just not too silly. I am not an amazing graphic designer so please don't destroy me.

Note: There is currently no name for the project. I will be taking suggestions for that as well. I will try to update the thread when I make significant progress.

I used to both use Chrome and Brave for 4 years, but last year when Google decided to kill Ad blockers, I permanently moved to Brave.
