Well actually it was Boopwrang who came up with this idea, but it seemed like a good one so I decided to make this thread. There are a lot of individual threads on Main saying Merry Christmas or Happy New Year, and of course those are all great and it’s always nice to wish everyone Merry Christmas, but wouldn’t it be better if we just had one thread that would be bumped for celebrations (be it Hanukkah, Christmas, Chinese New Year, etc)? Having one thread like this would also prevent any duplicates from being made and might encourage people to wish each other happy (insert something here) if they don’t know how/are nervous to make a thread on Main.

Anyway, what do you guys think?

Uhh in the end what about it? Some made random threads on Main and ugh.. we still haven't decided if we should make a celebration thread or not, please guys, drop your opinion. I personally think it's not a bad idea, I like it.

Instead of a thread about celebrating things, why not a thread about Dollars activity (e.g. what's currently happening, what are the latest activity the members were doing)?

We could expand this to the stuff that were happening on other Dollars messaging platform from Discord or Telegram.

When its Christmas, we merikuri the hell out of that thread. When a potentially important thread that needs to be viewed by as much folks as possible isn't worth posting on Main and instead were posted on an obscure board like Sports, we link them that thread so people could see. Dollars Discord often held events that they had an announcement channel specifically used to inform the members of upcoming events, also worth posting there. People could also reply to the thread and give their opinions about it, bump it, asking questions, basically a thread that can be used to discuss about the things happening around the site, some sort of a private and specific news outlet so to speak.

Not everyone checks all the board, so a thread that highlights what is actually happening around the site would be nice I think. Even better, something that highlights what's going around the entirety of Dollars as a whole.
