Idk if we have enough active people for this to be worth it but maybe put up a new tab for personal boards, make it so you can create an area for you're own little group within the site to talk about their plans or use the site however they want (within reason of course). Maybe have a search bar in that tab so people can find them, people could make boards and name it after themselves or if they named their group they can name it that. People could use a search bar to find their group or just scroll through and check some out.
