Basically, when I go onto this website with my phone, the website works until I enter the password. The reCAPTCHA already catches spam bots, so why not make this website more compatible with mobile devices like it actually is in the anime?

No, it is just that whenever I enter the password correctly it redirects to Hostgator. Whenever I enter it incorrectly it is as normal, password incorrect.

That's strange, I sometimes use this website on my like (like I am now) and I've never had such a problem.
