We used to have a counter but we took it away because it only counted the amount of devices using it and not members since we dont have accounts

Maybe the names? We can use names to identify people and only one name per device! So if they change their name, it won't change the number because that device already had a name! It may take some time but it would be great in the end! (°3°)/
