Lots of newcomers on main somehow always find that button on the right and click it before actually reading anything on this site.
If it's harder to find, maybe they'll actually read what not to post on main while scrolling down?

First off, no. They will eventually learn what not to post. It would be a lot more scene to just have a header at the top or a "What Not to Post on Main" bar in new threads.
Second off, it will happen with or with out doing anything. This is the dollars we have no rules.

If you're going to reject it the first thing you do, at least give some valid reasons

Who don't bother reading anything because the first thing they see is that button on the right
Wouldn't having one button at the bottom instead of 2 be more convenient?
Also no one said anything about rules, it's basic courtesy.

It's basic courtesy to scroll through a bunch of posts to read a post about what not to post, then after reading the post probably post something anyway?

It's more useful for us to have it at the top anyway otherwise you have to scroll through all the threads. It's just more user friendly.
