Maybe there coud be a whole section dedicated to different sub-cultures in Japan or other parts of the world. I guess like a style section for topics such as Visual Kei, Gothic Lolita, even Punk and Goth and many more. Expand the culture in this site to a different form of expression that's just as broad as music, art, and writing. I know it could possibly go in random, but there are just so many teen and young adult styles of dress. Just an idea. You can love it or hate it, or add any details I might've missed.

That would just become an amalgamation of all the different boards. It would include animation, art, films, food, literature, comics, music, and sports, all in one, since those are all aspects of culture in one way or another.

It's a nice thought, but I think you have it backwards:
Rather than make a board about culture, in which to post art, food, etc., make a thread in the art, food, etc. boards about certain cultures.

That way, it still fits under particular interests. "Culture" in itself is too broad to be something that interests many people - For example, if someone wants to find something on a culture's food, they would have to sift through every other topic of culture on the Culture board to find it... or simply look at the Food board. It's just adding an extra step, it seems.
