you like mayyro? his early works were a little too new wave for my taste, but when Songs to Kill to came out in '21, i think he really came into his own, thematically and artistically. the whole album has this dark, crisp sound, and a new sheen of violent themes that really gives the songs a big boost. he's been compared to omnitica, but i think mayyro has a far more darker, bitter creative process.
in '22, mayyro released this; insomnia, his most accomplished album. i think his undisputed masterpiece is "jaded to nightmares." a song so resonating, most people probably don't care about the themes. but they should, because it's not just about losing something and fading away, it's also a personal statement from mayyro himself!
