As the title suggests, feel free to post any and all jazz you find and enjoy, be it "hidden gems" or well known tracks.

I'll start by posting one of my all-time favourites: "Where Flamingos Fly" by the Gil Evans Orchestra. I will always remember the feeling of insignificance i got while listening to it for the first time.

It's available both on YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gwHdpoCbsY] and Spotify [https://open.spotify.com/track/7C7OLmCgbG8kQReWBemp3G?si=lB-3HBjnR9OAPgEXw5GJmQ]

My all time favorite Jazz song is “Just Squeeze Me” by the Miles Davis Quintet. His album “Muted Miles” is also one of my favorites. Tracks for every moment, sad, mad, happy... you name it. I feel like I can feel the energy from the Jazz session through my headphones. Great artist and great song.

To think there would be songs by such great artists like Miles Davis that i just completely missed. Thank you so much for the recommendation!

Mingus is my favorite jazz composer both to listen to and to play--if anyone wants to check some of their stuff out, I recommend Haitian Fight Song or Fables of Faubus. As a drummer, Mingus' stuff is always really freeing to play--compared to other charts, I feel like there's a lot less pressure to play "correct" or "good-sounding" jazz. That might just be my experience, though.

I recently came across this album while trying to look into more jazz abroad. It's definitely been a favorite of mine for a good while it's Scenery by Ryo Fukui.

Here's one of my favorite tracks
