Any dollars out there into harsh noise? I myself am a musician and painter. When painting, I find harsh noise tends to limber my mind up to get something creative going.

Have you heard Maldoror? It was a project of Mike Patton and Merzbow. They only released one album, but it's pretty cool.
I would also recommend some other Mike Patton noise projects, like Fantômas, Hemophiliac, and John Zorn's Moonchild Trio.

Those are really good man. If you're into drone and ambient doom metal I'd really recommend Sunn O)))

Yep Im a fan, Merzbow and Sunn O))) rule. Check out Full Of Hell's noise volumes, very good stuff.
I also make noise art, although in mediocre in comparison to the likes of Merzbow ect (asanoise.bandcamp.com)
