Does anyone have any good tips to writing a song? Or composing music for that matter? The only instrument I have access to is a piano but any advice for any instrument works too.

I've written one song so far, and I'm really proud of it. But whenever I tried writing another I get stuck.

Any help would be really appreciated!

When I write songs I get stuck a lot too, just write about random things. I know it sounds weird, but like I'll write about pizza and stuff that I'm thinking about just to get my brain ready for writing something else. Oh, what I do sometimes to is just flip to a random page in the dictionary and whatever word seems interesting, I'll write a song using the word. That usually helps.

Umm, but sometimes writing a song is kind of a "in the moment" thing. When you have something good in your head, just write it down, because you may never get the chance to remember what you were going to write again.

Also depends on what you want to write about, I mean some songs are pretty deep, but some songs are not. It just depends on that sort of thing.

idk if it will help but i pick out random words that ryme and then i put in other words that go with the word id chosen and normally i suprise myself and get an amazing song, it might sound confusing but it really works! ^-^
