So I'm converting from torrenting/filesharing my music library to building a worthwhile collection of vinyl records (and other media like CDs etc.)

I aim to get records covering the artists I really really love personally like Llorca, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Fitz and the Tantrums, and more popular bands like the Arctic Monkeys.

I've gone and purchased my first LP already which is Bon Iver by Bon Iver and it seems like the best first LP to help decorate the air in my house.

What do you think are good sounds to help decorate the spaces in-between?

I just bought vinyl copies of my two favourite Fleet Foxes albums: Helplessness Blues and Fleet Foxes.

I'm going to play them to death they're so good! Vampire Weekend have some good albums out on vinyl too.

If you're into Mahavishnu you might like Jaga Jazzist who also have their stuff on vinyl. I'd recommend the recent '94 - '14 box set of theirs!
