"Foxing is a band. Someday, Foxing won't be a band."Their words, not mine, and hopefully that day won't come for a long long time.
Foxing is from St. Louis, MO and plays a blend of post-rock, emo, and some kind of dancy post-hardcore a la A Bunny's Caravan and The World Is A Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afrblahblahblahwhogivesafuck To Die. Foxing, much like their TWIABP friends, released their debut album last year. While everybody was preoccupied with
Whenever, If Ever however (bonus "ever" points?), Foxing slipped
The Albatross out late in the year, and while overlooked by many enthusiasts of these genres at first, it's steadily grown in recognition since. I know we have quite a few emo nuts on this board, so guys, if you haven't checked out Foxing yet, this is for you.
Before we argue about the legitimacy of creating a thread for a band that to date still only has one EP (
Old Songs) and the aforementioned album
The Albatross, Foxing is a group that not only has a ton of potential to crank out future classics but will inevitably become a staple of post-rock and emo's blend from the little work they've already released. What better way to spread the word?

This recent
Audiotree session they did. It'll give you a great sense of how they've - in like, 3 years - mastered dynamics and songwriting and can output that beautifully live. Audiotree also has fantastic mixers and video editors and if you don't get an eargasm from this, you might want to ask your doctor if new AuralViagra is right for you. Side effects include (but are not limited to) getting mocked for your bad taste and being discredited on this board. Have fun!
Foxing is:
Josh Coll - Bass
Jon Hellwig - Drums
Eric Hudson - Guitar
Conor Murphy - Vocals, Sampler, Horns
Ricky Sampson - Guitar
Enjoy. /o/
