Bastille (BΔSTILLE) is an English rock band formed in London in 2010. The band consists of members Daniel Smith, Chris Wood, William Farquarson and Kyle Simmons.

Their debut single, "Overjoyed" was released in April 2012, while the second, "Bad Blood," was released August 2012 achieving moderate popularity in the UK. In February 2013, the fourth single, "Pompeii", was released charting at number two in the UK. Their first studio album, Bad Blood, was released in March of this year.

Wiki classifies them specifically as alternative rock, indie rock and synthpop, but I'm no expert.

Personally, I only really liked "Daniel in the Den" and their cover of "Laughter Lines."
The majority of their songs are phoneix rising from the ashes-esque which while can be pleasant to listen to, is a bit overbearing for a whole album. In addition ~half the songs from the album were released previously and the other half (or so) sound too similar/repetitive.
