Feeling music and not understanding lyrics (3)

I've felt legitimately alone in my music tastes...mainly for one the artists I love are mostly Japanese or speak other languages, and I feel like no one around me truly understands that it's important to "feel" the tone and not necessarily understand the language the lyrics are sung in. I really love artists such as Mayumi Kojima and Shiina Ringo, but...I've always felt alone in why I love them so much; and, how rare the chance is of finding someone who understands how I hear the way I hear them.

So I ask you all, at least those of you willing to read this, if any of you listen to music in that sense? Also if anyone else listens to Mayumi Kojima and/or Shiina Ringo let me know and we can be best friends for all eternity.

You are exactly right, OP. Music is about feeling the tone of the vocals, as well as the instruments, and if you aren't feeling it, chances are it ain't good music. However, you friends probably think you're a weeaboo for loving music in Japanese, and that may or may not be true depending on your attitudes toward music in other languages.

But since feeling music is such a basic part of music in general, it seems silly to have a thread about it all by itself.
I too shall sage.
