If anyone is up for it the basic idea behind this thread is just to plug and brag about an up and coming show/gig/concerts you're going to or have recently been to.
Maybe someone else just saw your favourite band a thousand miles from you and you were wondering how they were or what their setlist was? Look no further than this thread.

Kindly notify me if you believe this is a dupe, I had a quick look and couldn't find anything like this. Although I may have missed something in a spur of the moment brain fart.

I'll start with an event Im attending tonight.

Title/Location: Hardcore Halloween, Byron Bay, Australia
Lineup (opener to headline act): ProwleR, Imprisoned, Thorns,Juggernuat, Shackles, Relentless
Thoughts/Expectations: Every year at this event people get really into dressing up, its a good alcohol and drug free event and keeps a load of kids off the streets on the night of Halloween. Especially in our town binge/underage drinking is a major youth issue. The lineup is fairly up and down but Im excited to see ProwleR (Local metal band), Shackles (Local Thrash/Powerviolence) and Relentless (Sydney Hardcore).

I honestly dont mind bumping this for pure bragging.
Tomorrow Im going to see Daylight/Endless Heihts/Postblue.
Im very excited to see all these bands as they all have new material to play live.
I'll probably pick up two new LP's as well so Im very happy.
I interviewed both Daylight and Endless Heights for a zine Im doing some writing for and will probably make an OP about it soon.

I've seen Van Halen in 2004 (when they still had Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony), The Rolling Stones in 2006, the Who later that year, the Charlie Daniels Band, and .38 Special four different times. Most recently I saw ZZ Top during Summer of '12. I couldn't go to concerts as often after 2007 because of econamy shit, but things may get better. I might actually have to buy my own tickets now. Being an adult sucks! lol

So Soundwave is in two days and Im very excited YAYYYYYY I GET TO SEE YOUR DEMISE ONE LAST TIME. Megadeth pulled unfortunately.

Here is something Im attending the day before

Title/Location: Fored To Regress LP LAunch Show, Byron Bay YAC
Lineup (opener to headline act): Vile Specimen, Puke, Crisis Alert, Rort, Shackles
Thoughts/Expectations: Seeing as Shackles' new album is all killer no filler Im very very excited to be attending this. Also never having seen Rort who are infamous for their live aggression and ferocity it shall be interesting. Crisi Alert have a new LP out and they're s/t 7" is brilliant so it will be cool to see them again (I think Ive seen them twice already? maybe three times? ahaha). Going in blind with Puke, and VS.

What's your concert history? (saw this on Facebook and thought it was fun)

First concert?: Cat Empire (the earliest I can remember at a festival)

Last concert?: Joyce Manor (very cool)

Best concert?: Sleep, Self Defense Family (Both times) or Earthless (also went to a gig in London a few years ago where Arms Race, The Flex, Violent Reaction, Mind Eraser and the Rival Mob played so collectively that was INSANE)

Worst concert?: Pentagram at Desertfest or I Killed The Prom Queen (I've been to loads but these two stand out)

Who have you seen the most?: Shackles - they were a local band that used to play at least once a month so I reckon Ive seen them at least 20 times by now (I even saw them twice in one day...)

Best concert venue?: Roundhouse Camden or The Shed (industrial area in Byron Bay)

Worst concert venue?: Yelgun Fields for Splendour in the Grass 2015(?) - rained all night on the Saturday so there was horrible mud everywhere on the Sunday

Who have you not seen but want to: Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, My Bloody Valentine, Om, Sunn o))), Slowdive, Bob Dylan, Niel Young, Causa Sui, Electric Wizard, Coven (now that they're back together!)

Who you will never get to see, but want to: Bowie, Motorhead, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, The Beatles

concert?: Green Day

Last concert?: Green Day (3rd time seeing 'em!)

Best concert?: 3rd Green Day concert, I See Stars at Warped Tour 2016 and Get Scared around April(?) 2016 in Richmond, VA. All three bands put on insanely energetic shows and sound absolutely amazing.

Worst concert?: Two: Escape the Fate, same April 2016 show Get Scared played, and Sykes (not the Bring Me The Horizon vocalist) at Warped Tour 2016. Escape the Fate weren't necessarily bad, but they had to replace their singer at the last minute cause their regular one got sick. Fill-in singer just didn't fit the band's sound, y'know? As for Sykes, it was painfully obvious they were lip syncing. So yeah. The only reason I sat in the front row during their set was because I wanted good spots for I See Stars, who were freakin' amazing.

Who have you seen the most?: Green Day, 3 times.

EDC Las Vegas was an absolute dream. I have also been to Hard Summer, Tramps Like Us, Porteon, Countdown, and Beyond Wonderland. EDC was by far the best though. I'm pretty big on EDM haha
