I actually stumbled upon this artist when I watched a particular Touhou fan video a while back. The song really stuck with me, and it wasn't until recently I figured out who the artist for it was.

Akino Arai has worked on many different anime titles over the years, including Outlaw Star, Chobits, Spice and Wolf II, and Tokyo Underground, the lattermost of which you might recognize the song in the previous link from.

So far I've listened to her album Sora no Sphere, as well as her most recent pair of albums, Red Planet and Blue Planet, and they're all very good. Rather than let me ramble on about how her songs sound, I highly recommend you just give her a listen.
