Recently I was supposed to make a short film for this competition but due to time constraints and other responsibilities I wasn’t able to make one. I want to make a short film based off mikado view of the story( due to not having funding or that much experience it will be pretty mediocre) I want to make the story if he lived Ikebukuro during the time were the gangs were more active and he starts his own gang to protect people like that one anime (wind breaker) but it starts getting corrupted due to some bad members and I haven’t figured out a good ending but any advice or opinions are greatly appreciated( just again I don’t have a budget but I’m planning to use stock footage for any gang involved scenes since it’s impossible to coordinate 30+ people)

I have some film equipment cannon m50 mark 2, shotgun mic, 2 tungsten lights, 1 box light, tripod+ gimbal, and adobe premiere pro and after effects. I want to keep it if possible with myself just an actor because I don’t know many people that want to do acting on a short film they can’t get paid on. Also the reason for this film is just to get better to one day become a film director.
