So, what's next for the Dollars? I've noticed stagnation here for a while, and I think it's time we get back to our roots with community organization. I propose a brain storm for events and such that groups will be capable of organizing to positively impact our areas. Food drives, clothing trades, etc. Anyone have any thoughts?

I know a lot of farmers markets are up and running this time of the season? While it may be a little out of the way for some, it could be nice to try and positively impact the community by buying locally! Yard sales are in full swing and always a nostalgic stop for me through cute neighborhoods. Though I'm not sure how viable those are for some people.

^ Brood is right, supporting your local community and helping those close to you is always positive affect.
It's nice to have formal initiatives for action, but we can always drive positive change in the world with simple actions even when alone and unorganized.

I had a couple of estate sales at my grandma’s place in the mountains these past couple of weekends. Connecting with her community was really great! A very positive experience. People came from all over after seeing our signs, Nextdoor posts, and just driving by the property. Yard sales and garage sales are just the same! Kind families and sweet old people just love that stuff, and they always want to talk about the stuff, its stories, why it’s being sold. Any opportunity you have to connect with your community, you should. And hey, helps get a couple bucks from things you otherwise might throw away, or donate to Goodwill, which is now a wildly overpriced sham. I think there are still farmers markets out too! Many small businesses have signage saying they’re locally owned. Look for those signs!

Walk around the your neighborhood, to see the homeless, say hello. Walk around your neighborhood, to see the economic conditions of your local stores, and buy a random thing in a shop that does not advertise because adds on tv cost a pretty penny.
Walk around your neighborhood, to find local walkway then inquire how you can donate to the local government fund so that people can enjoy the thing you love even after you die.
Walk around your neighborhood, at 3am, to see how safe/unsafe it is and try to affect positive change.
