I'm curious, what's your guys philosophy on life as a whole? I just want to know what compels my fellow dollars members to live each day.
If you were to ask me, i'd say mine is pretty simple actually, I want to live my life to the fullest and have as much fun as I can before I pass. Hang out with friends, do crazy and stupid stuff, have memorable moments, get married, have kids, and share the happiness all around. After I do all of that, i'd die a happy man.

Hey! You got it locked down pretty good there. Id say whatever makes me happy is what keeps me going. Ive got a killer motivation to keep growing and improving everyday. My mental hasnt always been awesome, but it helps to know that Ive got things to do and experience. never was really interested in having kids, but I love meeting new people

I agree with you Karasu, I believe we should do what makes us happy in this life and work towards it! After quite literally just finishing Durarara, I must say that I've adopted the belief that everyday has a chance to be special all you have to do is make it! I misunderstood the theme of the anime at first, thinking that it was about wanting to live a crazy life. But as I just finished it. It's not about living a crazy life, it's about finding the extraordinary within the ordinary. I want to evolve my life by finding the good in every single day, even if it isn't all that crazy. Little by little. Bit by bit. I will find a way to love and appreciate every single day I have on this planet!

I... don't know yet. right now I'm just keeping my focus on school. I'm starting to try to be more like God because I am baptized after all. Just keep moving forward (meet the Robinsons noises)

I had a whole theory of only making the most "productive" choices at different scales, like I would go to school or play games depending on wether or not it is productive on the personal scale, I would also help people or not depending on wether it is useful on the societal scale and would choose my habits depending on wether or not they were useful on the global scale for exemple.
But since last year I kind of stopped using this system and started developing another one that was value based because of how I started valuing human interactions more than I did in my teenage years, maybe I'll make another post about it.

I'm mostly a "negative utilitarian" instead of the most good for the most people, its the least bad for everyone.
Yes this usually means the most good but more so in I wish to reduce all harm to the absolute least it can be.

I’d say the meaning of life for me boils down to the pursuit of total advancements of the arts and sciences—“arts” being classified as that which is human-generated and “sciences” being generated outside of humans and explored by them. With the greatest art and science of them all being the intangible conversation. The great thing about this meaning is that it is an infinite pursuit, so there is no end to my ability to self-actualize!
Godspeed,
^-^7

i'm just living day by day, honestly-- small things like eating good food, petting my cat. though i am working towards a phd-- i still feel like i have to earn my place in living here. but in the meantime-- there are people that want me to think beyond just a functional purpose. there are also geese to feed, books to read.
meaning of life? doesn't really matter. meaning can be justification, and i don't really want to need to justify living. isn't it enough to simply be?

I have little to no grand meaning or desire to live , days just go by , some days there is little joy , some days there is none. I'm honestly just hoping to get isekai'd now

you can look at this in two perspectives a religious/faith based and a general life based one. neither are mutually exclusive. for faith based im just trying to be a person who follows my faith and stays open minded for others beliefs. for a life perspective im just trying to go through college, get a good experience, aed establishing a place for myself in the world. it is a slow, long road but i try to enjoy the small things in life
