There is an app brewing for grassroots (completely, as in user based like a forum) news. It will apparently work via a bounty system. The more people join the more luck it will have of working, so please go ahead. The idea is you can get paid to livestream a public area someone else wants to see. This could completely nullify mainstream news as we know it, more so than major social media sites. I worry that google and other corporations will try to shut it down before it is born, so please spread the word of its potential.

This is a very "Dollars-like" thing, so I figure all of us here will understand best the potential impact. Please spread the rumors where you can in your circles and make this happen. I am posting this in main simply because I think it can really go somewhere and make an impact if it gets off the ground. I believe it to be relevant to many of our shared interests here.

This thread screams "I belonged on Missions board!" But that being said, it felt so devoid of any information. Google search also returned no result, OP please elaborate on what this actually is. Treat me like I had an IQ of 10 and do your best to explain it to all of us. I'll be lurking.

It’s very very early in development. I have no promises on it so far, only rumors. The site is set up right now for email info and all I have been linked to is a discord so far. The idea I was shown is not posted on the site but is lifted from where I obtained the link myself. Google won’t show you any results because the app is not out yet, sorry! I am just spreading early info. If you put in an email you will be contacted by the cofounders like I was.

So on the bounty system- the app will apparently have a currency of its own which is exchangeable for various countries regular currency, as well as bitcoin. I would be able to put in a request to see some protest or event somewhere in the world, while someone requests something in my area- I could "pay" to see something happening in London, for example, while live streaming something going on near me for someone else.

It's not done yet, this is purely alpha. I have not been given a test version etc etc yet but have been reached out to via email.

If you are interested in being a "journalist" or getting info that you trust more than politicized media, then you should sign up in advance if you like the idea. I'm signing up to help cover my region when it comes out, as I live near a major metropolitan area. It may not be your thing if you're in the country- but hey maybe there is something you want to see specifically that you can't find good pictures of online/nice video tours of that you would drop $5 on. I would share more info but don't want to flood the poor project before it is born/overwhelm the creator all at once. I was even hesitant in posting here at al, but the idea simply was so dollars-esque I HAD to share it with like-minded individuals.

Update directly from developer:
So we are releasing a lite version of the app tomorrow, but it'll be totally web-based and rely on Twitch for streaming.
Mobile app is still in development, and we're sharing the prototype of the app interface with people this week in one-on-one sessions to see if people can navigate it themselves.
