This morning, at around 10, the Supreme Court has officially announced that same-sex marriage is now legal in all 50 states.

It took so long because, as the cief justice said in his opinion, there's utterly no constitutional basis for it, it seriously just passed because it was the populist thing to do. *has a Bachelor's in Political Science
Though, there're already states refusing to do gay marriages because of various 'logistical concerns' & like excuses.

I wish they'd call it something else. I'm all for gays having the same rights as heterosexual couples, but I'd rather it be called civil unity or something. Sorry to anyone this might upset but that's just my personal belief.

The sad thing is, is that no matter how long Equal Marriage is legal, the LBGTQ community will still be looked down upon by a lot of people. We've seen this played out throughout history, but we just have to over come that challenge like we have all the others.
