Um, I've noticed a lot a new people coming into chat wonder "what the hell is everyone going on about? Traps? Yandere? Fedex? I just don't get it!!" So instead of us having to give explanations for every person that's utterly confused, I've made a thingy that should probably be required reading before entering chat.

Here it comes.

@ - See Voodoo Spiral



Blink, I Blinked, "I blinked what just happened?" - When you've just clicked on that link that some said to go to/look at/watch, and then when you click back to chat, the topic has dramatically changed. Usually to something completely unrelated to what was being discussed before you went and followed that interesting link.



Chat Froze - If no-one has replied in a while, either they're all dead, they're all busy, or your chat has frozen. Just to be sure, just reload/refresh your web browser page and it should kick start chat again. You may find that a Decade has passed.



Decade - This means 10 years in real life. In terms of chat, it'll take you about ten years to find the last reply that you can remember reading. Usually happens in Speedchat nights.



Fedex - the all consuming Shipping company of the Dollars chatroom. When you become a member of Dollars, you WILL BE SHIPPED!



Ghost, Ghosting - This is when a chat user has exited a room by closing their web browser without logging out, leaving their "ghost" behind in the room. Trying to log in with the same name and icon won't be possible until the ghost has been Kicked from the room. It is possible to log back in with either a different name or with the same name but with a different icon.

Lagland - May also be referred to as Lagcity, Republic of Lag, Lagdom.

This is where a chat user experiences a lag while in the room. If they're not responding to your comments, they're probably lagging. Happens to Thanatos on a regular basis. He's pretty much a permanent resident there.

Moe



Mugyuu - a phrase often used by gao, and in some cases, Ayanavi. We don't know what it means yet.



Pin - Suffix. Means pin.



Pon - Suffix. Means pon. Usually assigned as an honorific by Tsuki to almost all other members. However, Ayanavi is assigned the -Pwn suffix, because she is JUST THAT AXE CRAZY.



Puu - Suffix. Means puu.



Shipping - A popular past-time enjoyed in the chatroom, mainy by Misuto, Firo and Testarossa. A term stemming from the word "relationship". To ship two (or sometimes more) people together is to announce that they are now in a relationship, usually unbeknown to (or against the wishes of) the parties involved.



Speedchat - May also be referred to as The Chat Spins Madly/Widly On

Some nights in chat are slow. Some nights are practically dead. However, there is the odd occassion where all the users seem to have possessed keyboards and the replies fly out faster than it is possible to follow. It's also normal for more than five different conversations to take place at the same time. Just smile and pretend you know what's happening. :)

The Room That Doesn't Exist - In chat, there are either no rooms active. Or there is one. You may think that there are two. But trust me, one of those rooms, does not exist. This phrase was coined by (help me out here Thanny-pon!) to describe the room that the crazy hardcore RPers talk in. It pretty much scares every other member of Dollars away into the room that DOES exist. If you wanna go in for yourself to see what I mean, then go ahead. But it's not pretty in there. I did try and warn you...

this is in no way a complete glossary, I got lazy and missed loads of stuff out that I can't think off or whatever, so feel free to add, change whatever to it ^_^

Kicked - When you get banned from the room by the room's host. It's usually talked about kicking a ghost, so the person can log back in with their original name/icon.

Loli - Girl between the ages of.. I dunno 8 and 12. Usually referring to 2D rather than 3D. Lolicon (short for Lolita Complex) is someone who is attracted to said girls.

Moe - Uhh.. Damn, that's kinda hard to explain. Cute girls doing cute things I guess.

Trap - When a (usually feminine looking) male dresses as a female. Also, there's reverse traps. Which are the opposite.

Voodoo Spiral - MAGIC PEOPLE. VOODOO PEOPLE. Something about rape sirens and AIDs.

moonrunes - Coined by Thanatos (I think?) A generic term applied to any user that logs into chat with a name consisting of japanese characters, may also be chinese or korean as well.

lol nah, moonrunes has been floating around for a while.....

A lot of the terms you've mentioned after the first post are generic terms that have been floating around the internet - they're just the ones that happen to be constantly abused by us in the chatroom.
