CPU Recommendations? (4)

Hey, Silva here. I'm planning to build a PC soon and wanted to see if I could get any suggestions on what CPU to get/save up for.

Just for some context, I'm not necessarily building some monster of a computer. It's meant to be somewhat multipurpose (games & work, etc.), and I'm kind of on a smaller budget.

Hi Silva, a really good Cpu is the Ryzen 5 3600 if you still want to save some money you can take the previous one the Ryzen 5 2600.

Just don't make the mistake and get yourself anything from Intel. Furthermore, I cannot recommend bulding a Computer as of right now at all due to the global chip crisis. All hardware components are extremely overpriced as of right now. Especially considering that you're on a lower budget. I know it kind of sucks, but I recommend you wait for a while until the market stabilizes again.

the cpu depends on what sort of programs you'll be running single or multithreaded, intel specializes in single-threaded while ryzen specializes in multithreaded. multithreaded programs are the way of the future but older programs are generally single threaded. as for timing i agree with riku for buying parts. wait till the prices get better. gpu prices are through the roof right now for practically any gpu no matter the kind. one more thing to keep in mind is to know your parts are compatible you can generally find a pc building site that will let you select parts and will tell you if they are incompatible.
