DroneBL Problem (5)

1 Name: !C8Hypela/M!!/fN+hj5w : 2020-11-08 01:49 ID:Ix59yxyu [Del]

Probably gonna be my peak of hypocrisy here lmao, but here goes a thread dedicated to just asking a question.

What is DroneBL and how can I delist myself from their database?

It is said that I should follow a certain instruction accordingly to get myself delisted, and I shouldn't ask for that instruction anywhere else. But what if I really did not receive any instruction?

It is also said that the reason my IP got listed in the first place was because I either did bad stuff (i.e. spamming), or I have a virus/trojan that turned my PC into an open proxy, which someone then used to connect with and did those bad stuff under my IP address. How can I deal with this? And it is said that I also need to fix this properly before attempting to appeal, or else if I got listed again, it will be much harder to request delisting for the second time.

Probably is a little more than (a) question, but there you go lol. Enlighten me pls

Essentially, Drone is what ISP's use to track machines and IPs, and the potential or immediate dangers that may or are damaging them. If you're on the DroneBL or Drone Blacklist, your PC is likely under quarantine until you get the situation under control. What I'd recommend is to either run some good anti-virus scanners to pinpoint the malware on your computer, or issue the command to Factory Restart your PC. If your IP was listed, then it could be someone else that uses your same IP address did something bad or has malware on it that your ISP's Drone flagged and listed. I use Malware Bytes for malware scans.

I forgot to mention this, but if you travel to this link:

https://www.dronebl.org/lookup

You'll be directed to DroneBL's lookup page. It should automatically fill-in your IP, but if not, you'll have to fill it in yourself. After looking your IP up, it'll pull up any listings you have including a comment, listing ID, error code, and listing reason. In the rightmost section of the listing, you'll see a hyperlinked "request removal", and once you've solved the issue that you were listed for, select this link and you will be connected to the request form.

So I'm on my way to getting the malwares off my PCs, and visited the /lookup page. This page (I included the screenshot of) usually appears when I clicked the "request removal" link. The removal request form sometimes appeared yes, but its frustrating when I can't consistently visit the page. Do you know a way to get around this?

Also, what should I include in my request letter?

I'm not kidding, that tab when I managed to get the form to appear yesterday hasn't been closed. Also going to install Malware Bytes, but it requires me to restart the PC after I finished the installation? And I honestly did not want to have another attempt to get the form to appear once more.

Alright, I've figured this one out partially. My case is a pretty simple one, so I'll explain that one out.

My ISP had a dynamic IP or something like that, so one time I was restarting my wifi router and suddenly droneBL barred me from entering IRC. What I've figured from searching around the internet is that, just restart the router again! This one should work if the ISP got that dynamic IP thingy traits, if not then you might wanna download Malware Bytes and remove those malwares before attempting to (you guessed it) appeal the ban.

There's also something called open-proxy that were caused by malwares, so look out for that one as well. It affects your setting so you probably had to turn it off manually after killing the malwares. I just got this from reading around so it might be inacccurate, but that's it I guess. See you next time when I got banned for real I suppose.
