The side bar and board menu only appear at the top of the screen, but as a consequence, 1/2 of the user screen is wasted on every page. People usually have more horizontal screen real estate than vertical, so not using it doesn't make sense. Menus are kept on a horizontal bar at the top of the screen on most websites for a reason.

Gotta admit, it looks awful. But the site was meant to closely resembles a website that appeared in a TV show, it never was meant to be intuitive. You can read the admin's take on how he created the site here.

Also, the site has essentially been living with the same codebase for 10 years now. Admin once said he'd rather make a new website, but procrastination would probably always drag him down from doing that.

It'd be real nice if only the center of the screen scrolled while the sidebars remained static...
