So, either this year or next year the new USB4 or USB 4.0 wire will come out with a whooping 40 Gbps. Any thoughts or ideas to this new update without the technological industry?
Our latest one is USB 3.0 & USB 3.1 along with other thunderbolt and lightning cables with around 5 to 10 Gbps.

Remember that data transfer is only one half of the equation, the other half being USB Power Delivery. We've reached a point where Type-C cables can transmit upwards of 100 watts of power, so what I'm looking forward to is a transition from AC current in households back to DC current (like it was in the late 1800s/early 1900s). Imagine having USB powered lamps, toasters, power tools, and so forth which are all on the USB-C standard. Instead of having two AC plugs, you could have, say, 1 AC and 3 Type-C DC plugs in the same outlet.
