What is some good editing software for short films, and silent films? because i'm doing something with my friend for class, filming a short film and were making it a silent film in black and white but will need so good reliable software for editing

There's no reason literally any video editor wouldn't work for silent films.

if you have a mac, iMovie would work perfectly for a silent film. Windows movie maker can glitch with larger files, so I'd just make sure to save as much as possible.

I'm pretty sure that you can also use Camtasia Studio for free. Usually these websites have student use only versions

I personally like sony vegas, its the easiest to understand UI, at least for me, and has everything you should need. Its not siltent film, but heres a video i did that might have an effect you'd like to use.
