So I've been tryin' for half an hour to log in to my account when i start up my pc, but it kept putting me immediatly back to the login screen. I can only see for a sec when I try to login it says "locking" and back to the login screen. Please help, I've all my work there and I don't want to lose it D:

Boot into safemode w/ networking and try to fix the problem from there (i.e. scan for malware, check startup programs, etc.) If you cannot figure out what the issue is, back up data and try:
1) rolling back to an older restore point where you could login
2) refreshing the windows installation
3) reinstalling windows from an installation disc.

If for whatever reason you cannot log into safemode, create live boot image of ubuntu or some other unix OS, boot into that and back up your data and proceed to option 2+3.

Assuming you aren't using bitlocker, any IT shop should be able to back up for data for you (as you can any and all data off of the hard drive w/o the windows password so long as full disk encryption isn't enabled).
