Hello! I'm Lenn and I've been a part of the Dollars since 2011. Me and my friend Yaju are currently developing a new Dollars fan site. The plan is to make it a form of social media platform, whilst also having an anonymous Drrr-Like-Chat extention. We are capable of making it, but we are dry on ideas of functions to add to both platforms on the site. We are also thinking of a new name. Any ideas from anyone, comments or questions as well are welcome. By asking the community we hope to enhance the website.

This website is based off of an older drrr-like-chat project callef Durazu which was killed off quickly. We hope for this to be the successor.

Why u want a new Dollars site (i know that it is for money)? Maybe u should make option to post anonymly (like on bbs) and from ur profile to prove that the one who posted was really u.

Make one like how the dollars should be. Free. Have it be a battlefield of stuff. If I want to post something, I can post it and if someone doesn't like it, they can mess off. Or even make a system to allow people to remove other users posts if cerian criteria are met. This place is full of great people but sometimes a little chaos is fun. Hey Lenn! I was also thinking about building a Dollars-like website, but I didn't have enough resources. My idea was similar to yours, but my goal was to also earn money from it (ads or other ways). I have no resources, but I have plenty of ideas, and I was interested in cooperating with you instead of creating a website on my own! There's just a few things I need to know; do you need an extra founder and helper? And is making money one of your goals? Are you interested in sharing profit if so? Hey Lenn^^ I would suggest that if you make something of the sort, imitating like a mix of the facebook home pages with a touch of various chat rooms tht users generally create as well as forums like this site. Those who want to creat an account have to first gain a password to the site but once gained they can make their own account to view or do anything. Ofcourse the account doesnt have to use a personal name or any info like tht, just a username and pass alongside choice of icon. I think that such things would be splendid but only suggestions, it is your creation after all^^ I would rather have thoguh where whenever something is posted or shown (except the chat rooms) that it is shown to everyone, no one has their own timeline or whatever, its a community, a gang, altogether.

UPDATES:
- Lounge is finished, as shown in the pic.
- Naming your room as a colour will change the room name's color to that! This also works for hex code colours. Room design is nearly finished.

Well to be honest, you should do it and spread it as best you could. A password like baccano should keep most shitheads out, however if you really want to make this work you need to spread it as best you can upon it's inception.

As for a name? Well lets look at The Dollars, it's a super awesome name because the idea is that Dollars are common, and The Dollars makes up a large amount of people. If I were to give you a suggestion would be false of me. Look at the intention of the website, and try to form that intention into a word or a phrase. Or Just make it some random thing that sounds cool. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In the play store i found the app "the dollars". Thats your app lenn, right?

If you want my ideas:
Maybe try setting the site more like in the show, as in it always brings you to the password page for login. After that, you can access direct chat with a chat room. I like the individual icons as well, but maybe I'm getting carried away.

You could add a feature where you could make a anonymous profile. To clarify, on the Drrr chat you can enter usernames that someone has, but in this one, it would be fun if you could make a permanent account.

if you do follow through with this you should add things like favorites where if you prefer certain things like technology or sports then you can favorite it and it notifies you when someone posts on that specific section, it should also notify you when someone comments on a thread you started. you should also copy the idea of "friends" so you can friend someone if you enjoy what the post about, comment on, and you should be able to have a private chat with them. like wise if you are "friends" with someone you should be able to like what they post about when they start a new thread. and to finish it all off you should make it for mobile and don't forget the password. :)

My idea is to protect from just entering page.com/main instead of typing password.

And protecting your nick from being used by someone else would be nice too

Maybe make it so chat rooms don't go away after everyone leaves, and a leveling up system would be nice, ex: people there longer have higher levels or those who do confirmed "good things" get higher levels. Kind of like the main Discord. Maybe make a better mp3 system and image system than the current chat. (its way too convoluted). More chatroom customizations like backgrounds, etc. Notifications for Laptop/Desktop users on google chrome. Have a user page, where you can put info about yourself for others to see. As a very long time visitor to this site, I really enjoy the pseudo-anonymous aspects, similar to how reddit does things, only better. The site here needs a makeover, for sure, but as long as you have good admins, you can keep a lot of the aspects in a new site. Most important aspect would be marketing and getting the right people to use it. We all started here because of an anime, but we stay for a large number of reasons, and I think a lot of it is the anonymous community and public chatrooms. I'm not really sure what else I can offer to this, but if you post a feedback link I can offer some ideas in private, in a better setting. I run a couple crappy websites myself, so I know the work that goes into this. You arent the first person to come here saying similar thing, and I doubt you'll be the last unless you can stick with this.

Don't be dumb and get high before posting on the net, kiddos.
This weed makes me think.
A big problems with dollars as it is is that good and relevant content gets buried a lot, and a lot of trash piles at the top, especially on main board, where the rules are literally in your face.
Strong admins are a must, even if the actual tools are limited.
Chaos is good, but self-rule isn't always the best either I'm even willing to accept slightly biased and corrupt admins, as long as they do their job well. Problem is how to make money on that while making it free and without ads.
Best way I can see is donations, which again means getting a good userbase, and having reliable work to show off.
If you're a good enough website designer, and have work to show for it, then people will get behind you.

A lot of people have probably already suggested this, and you may have mentioned it in your post without me seeing it, but what about real-time chat rooms designed to look like the ones in drrr?
