Hey guys,
im trying to limit the amount of resources on an old android phone, basically i wanted to remove any "cellphone" feature like the phone portion, but keeping the required data for wifi/bluetooth,
i have a Samsung galaxy s 2 [sgh1757m ics 4.0.4] tied to Bell, so theres even more stuff to get yanked,
i had a working rom that i re-built from stock 4.0.4 ics, but i need 4.4 to run my updated apps
anyone with experience willing to help?

I am in the similar predicument. Could you send me a copy of the finished rom? Its fine if not just asking. I have a galexy s3 so it should be compatible.

You can begin by disabling the Google Play Services.
Basically, that's a non-open-source program from Google, that has access to virtually anything on your phone, has access to the internet, and it requires a lot of power.
However, it's necessary to access Google apps, and some features on a few apps.
