This was concerning the old chat room. Isn't there a new one - drrr.com, I think? - that is actually managed by people of the BBS? If I remember correctly, the chat itself even has a direct link to the BBS, so it's connected to the site and does fall into our responsibility.
Nevertheless: If there is a spammer, then you'll still have the options to a) ask the chatroom-host to kick/ban the spammer or b) leave the chatroom and enter a different one/ make a new one. I don't know if the function is supported in the new chat, but if possible, you could put a password onto the room. If not, you can still shrink the limit of people who can enter. Spammer can hardly enter a full room.
There's also another option, if you're on drrr.com you can put some kind of offensive text in the title such as "nazi" only for a second, remove it. It hides your chat from being an option for others to join, this is obviously not helpful if you have people who regularly leave and join, or wish to have others join later. But if everyone you wanted already there its helpful.
