My computer has started giving me the blue screen of death upon startup...
Does anyone know how to wipe a hard drive? If I can't fix this then I can't draw, and that's all I can do to get money in my college fund

If you've got a windows cd, put that in your cd drive and reboot, you should get an option to boot from it. Choose that and go through the setup, and you should get to a point where you can format your drives and make partitions.
Make sure you have a serial ke to activate Windows!

Ah. Not that I advocate piracy, but I *think* you can get a legit copy of Windows 10 if you upgrade from 7, legit or not. If you go legit, I managed to find Windows 7 Professional 64-bit on Amazon for £35, so it's around that much. Don't bother buying 10, it's like double the price.

Although all that said, I just double checked the link you gave, and that computer is about 10 years old now, a wipe might not even fix it, but good luck and remember to back it all up if you can.

You can always pirate Windows again ;-) then burn it on a CD and use that to reinstall from scratch. Remember to back up first though.

ayyyyyyyyyyyy 4:20 and I got it taken care of! My friend computer jesus has the hard drive and is obliterating everything on it! (haha my friend who does computer stuff looks like jesus kindof it's funny)
