I received a new samsung lcd tv for my birthday and it was missing the adapter portion of the power cable. I've been working with the store it was bought at and the manufacturer. The store isn't helping and Samsungs giving us the run around. Anyone know where I can get a replacement amazon and ebay aren't turning up any results.

Usually, you just have to plug one end of this kind of cable directly into your TV while the other end goes into the wall socket.

Nooooo don't to that !

Some Samsung monitors seem to use a 14V alim, whereas a PC uses a 19-20V one !

Heres what the specification page of the manual says, Model Name, UN32J4000/UN32J400D .

I've found a similar TV that had a 19V DC input.

Can you confirm that that's the specifications of your TV by reading around the hole or on the manuals ? And are you sure that they're isn't any direct alim input insulated on the right ?

If that's the case, find a 19V dc adapter with a large tip (HP and Dell use this kind of bloody tips).
Or find a standard 19V adpater and an other adapter to plug it in into your TV.

Manual and tv both say dc 19v.And all inputs are rear facing.
Thanks for your assistance.

Yep, so a 19V computer adapter with a large end.

Can you send me the pic of the entire back of the TV, but curiosity, please ?

And now, I'm goinf to sleep since it's late now. Good night !

Thanks.

You can try all the same with your laptop alim, if the diameter matches, to be sure.
This way, you will be able to go to a shop and ask for "a 19V dc adapter with a diameter other than that" (as far as I know ther're only 2 possible diameters).

Apparently samsung uses 5-5.5 mm by 3.0 mm plugs.I'll see what i can find.
