I was thinking if there were ever an apocalypse legacy computers might become remarkably important. If you have any lying around you should learn how to use them because who knows you might need them when that day comes. Just a thought I guess.

>>1 It depends on the type of apocalypse we face. If we're hit with a powerful EMF, even old computers will be susceptible to damage. The only reason people use ancient PCs is because they're secure. They're only secure because they aren't connected to the internet, and can't be accessed wirelessly. If you got into the same room as the PC, you could do just as much damage to it.

Any other apocalypse we face will have alternatives to this technology.

You can use every PC offline. You just have to get your softwares and content on flash or optical memory.

I don't know so much about legacy computers but 'legacy tech' for sure: if the internet goes down it'll be the HAM radio enthuiasts who are laughing.

>>5 It'll be also a brutal turnabout for them: HAM radio enthuiasts are growingly using computers to help for their communications.
