Hy guys i would like to know the difference, vantages and disadvantages of solid core versus laminated core in an electromagnet, is solid core going to give me better efficiency with alternating current due to hysteresis and is it going to produce a stronger magnetic field or doesnt matter ?

I'm bad at electromagnetism, so you should double check all my writings.

I've read on Wikipedia that a laminated core has reduced Foucault currents ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_core ).
