Ok folks, here is the principle of this thread : you post any question you have about technology ("how does planes fly", "how is numeric radio working", "how can a 4096-bytes PGP cannister resist over ten millions years of bruteforce") and try to answer questions left by other people.

This will ensure sharing of the knowledge.

My question is the following : Is there a way to perform stage separation on a rocket other than using explosive bolts?

seems like a good idea of a thread, kinda like the information brokering one on main but for technology only.
Since i have no idea of the answer to your question i'm going to answer one of the examples you gave.
How do planes fly? It's really simple, fairies love planes so they sprinkle magic on the wings to make it fly.

Is it even remotely possible to wirelessly hack electtical currents in non-computerized electronics?

Aaaand the answer isn't easy to tell since I need a little more definition.
A computer is constituted entirely of electronic parts, so "non-computerized electronics" is quite inexact. Translated to car, your question would be "is it possible to inflate a non-car wheel".
I think you're talking about electronics that are not part of a computer system.
And the answer is yes, since wireless interaction is electromagnetic interaction.
Electromagnetic waves creates current through wires, then it's possible to interact with them wirelessly. Since a possible interaction with electronics is to hack them, yes. We can hack them wirelessly.
It is actually possible to know what you're typing on your wired keyboard up to 10 meters thanks to EM generated through electrical current.

TL;DR answer is yes. Totally.

>>4 You answered my question better than I worded it.

Let's say for instance you have simple electronic device. It consists of two wires, a lightbulb socket, a battery or other power source, and a switch to keep it active.

My question is, is it possible to somehow disrupt the electricity traveling to the light without flipping the switch, using some other device that can access the current remotely?
Basically.

Obviously this is the most simple way I can think to word this, but the action, if possible, would have a lot more possibilities than simply toggling the electricity, for instance, altering capacitors or resistors to affect their held current, or even sending electricity through the wire without an attached power source.

I seriously couldn't think of where to post this where it'd get seen.

When you click sage on a thread, does it just sage your post, or does it put in a request for the admins to sage the thread it as well?

>>8 neither, when you click sage it just makes your reply not bump the thread to the top (so it just stays in the same place after you replied)
If someone replies after a sage reply without clicking sage, it will bump the thread.
Sorry if I wasn't clear, hope I helped.

You said neither, but you answered the first one.

>>10 It doesn't notify the administrator. It's just a checkbox version of putting /sage at the end of your post.

>>10 you said "sage your post"
post ≠ reply
I was confused by your lack of proper wording so I took it as post=post

13 Name: A.I.d.a. !ao.AgYdRoo : 2015-08-21 08:19 ID:VwZ513cX [Del]

A reply and a post are the same thing when referring to a forum thread. You were confused by your own idiocy.
