I recently bought a lenovo ideapad laptop. How good is this for gaming? Would I be able to run fallout 4? Specs are:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB (7.89 GB usable)
System Type: 64 bit operating system, x64 based processor

Probably not well. It sounds like it has integrated graphics. You can find that out by opening device manager (not sure what OS you have but start menu is one way to get there). There should be an option like display adapter, and if it says "Intel HD 4000" or 3000 then it's probably not going to cut it. Integrated graphics are cheaper and more energy effective, but far less powerful.

For a decent gaming machine a separate video card is required. I think you would be able to play older games at low settings, seeing as how it is a newer gen cpu. All the new games have minimum requirements of fairly new graphics cards, as well as a decent cpu.

You probably already heard this, but for gaming a tower would be better than a laptop.

I can play fallout 3 on ultra and skyrim on high with a little lag, both become perfectly smooth once i turn off antiailasing and anistroptic filtering. I dont know how to spell those, im sorry. Im just trying to help get answers.
