hard disk cant detect at my pc but ok at other pc (5)

I dollars.i know most of you guys are incredible in tech.can you help me about yhis problem?the lamp is on.its just didnt show in the window.im using buffalo hard disk 1T and windows 7

try plugging it into a different USB port the one your using might be damaged

geez ive tried all 4 front usb port but theyre all the same :'

Due to some type of reading with windows it won't read a terabyte, or more, from the get go. You will have to format it, or create a partition.

To do so you can either type, diskmgmt.msc, into the command prompt. Or it should be under control panel, system and security, administrative tools, and create and format hard disk partitions.

It should show up as an unallocated drive or something. You probably have to right click the partition and options should show up. I can't remember which option it would be though.
