Here's some theory stuff. We use quartz crystal for a lot of our CPU related shit(oscillators). We have been cutting quartz tinnier each year. Eventually, we'll be at an atomic level and this is a problem. This means that the quartz will be so tiny that the atoms seep into each other. I mean that our computer processing power is only so limited because of this shit. We've been approaching this limit and it's inevitable.

I can't find too much documentation about this, but I've sat in a few computer theory lectures and talked with a computer scientist on Skype. It's going to happen.

We're going to have to use a new material now that everything is done at the quantum level. I'm not very educated on the properties of quartz that make it good for CPU building, is there any other relatively cheap material we could use?
