Long story short I dropped my phone in noodle soup and the microphone isn't working so no one can hear me when I call them ;-; Is there a way to fix this, or is it permanent?

Well, it's water damage, it is kinda bit permanent, but if you have the replacement parts and the right tools, you can replace the broken mic by yourself.

There is always soaking in in dry brown rice to get the liquid out. It works, my phone was revived using this method after getting wet.

Try putting it in a bag of rice. The rice will absorb whatever water may be left in your phone. If it doesn't work, get it checked by someone who repairs phones.
