So basically I was poking around the internet one fine friday evening when I came across this one website where this guy built an EMP out of homemade materials!
I have not the time nor the resources to properly construct one myself, and the guy claims he can't film it because it'd break his camera (obviously >.>)
So, if anyone can help me out and tell me if this actually works, then I thank you in advance!

At a theoretical level yes his botch job would work at extremely close range but it wouldn't be able to nock out a camera since he would only be discharging a small amount of power and magnetism follows the inverse cube law. This device is stupidly dangerous since the capacitor should short though almost anything and vaporize what it goes though in most cases.
