I don't even really know what this means. Threads house discussion, if two people disagree that's an argument if they talk about it.
When you said "No torrents", that was eliminating over 50% of your options with no explanation. Are you saying that was less of a waste of time or more valuable than someone telling you that you would have a very tough time finding that? If you explained why you weren't going to use any torrents, it would have been much more helpful.
The suggestion 'he' gave was "Your parameters are too limiting". Probably could have done it in a better way, but it wasn't a total waste of time like you said.
'Trashy replies' is quite subjective, it seems.
